All Better Business Coaches are certified professional coaches. This means that every coach at BBC has undergone rigorous training and has met the necessary standards and requirements to be considered a professional coach. In addition, all coaches at BBC have received certification from a reputable coaching organization, such as the Institute of Advisors. This ensures that clients receive the highest level of coaching expertise and professionalism.
BBC is also one of the only coaching practices that has a regulatory framework in place to ensure a high standard of professional conduct and integrity. This Framework is built around the “Best Interest Duty” (BID) and is a very important development for the Business support Industry and it is explained as per below:
For too long, small business owners have been taken advantage of by untrustworthy or uneducated coaches and advisors, only to be sold low-quality or foreign software, products and services that simply don't work in Australia. Fortunately, Better Business Coach and the Business Advice Agency Group is fighting to change this by introducing compliance, regulation, and standards to the coaching and business support industry, making it a trustworthy and valuable space with greater accountability.
At Better Business Coach, we hold ourselves to a high standard of professional conduct. Our "CODE" promotes ethical behavior and encourages all staff and associates to always do the right thing. We believe in the following six key principles: honesty, integrity, loyalty, respect, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. These values guide our actions and help us ensure that we consistently provide high-quality services to our clients.
Unlike most other industries, the business advice industry in Australia is not regulated. This means that anyone can give advice to business owners on how to improve their businesses, regardless of whether they have the necessary qualifications or expertise. Some business coaching businesses in Australia may not have certified business advisors or coaches on staff and may only have undergone in-house training rather than obtaining formal qualifications. This lack of regulation can be harmful to businesses, as they may not be receiving the high-quality advice and guidance they need to succeed. It is important for business owners to do their research and choose a business advice provider that has qualified and experienced professionals on staff.
Understand the clients' needs, objectives, and financial situation before providing advice
Consider a range of appropriate options and products, and provide unbiased and impartial advice
Disclose any conflicts of interest and avoid any self-interested or inappropriate advice
Provide ongoing support and advice to clients to help them achieve their financial goal
Act with care, diligence, and skill when providing advice to clients
The best interest duty is a key component of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) financial services licensing regime, and breaches of the duty can result in legal action and penalties for financial advisers.
So why don’t other service industries have the same type of regulation? There is absolutely no regulations in the business support and coaching industry to protect small business owners from getting the wrong advice and/or being ripped off.
The Business Advice Agency Group has been pro-active in bringing regulation and accountability to the Business support and coaching industries and the following regulation (as inspired by the Finance industry’s BID regime) represents our commitment to be a beacon of light in business advice and coaching industry.
The Better Business Coach Best Interest Duty represents our regulation and obligation for our advisers, coaches, and partners to act in the best interests of our clients and the wider community when providing advice on associated products or services. This means that our advisers and coaches must prioritize their clients' interests above their own and ensure that the advice provided is suitable for the members needs and goals.
The best interest duty applies to all our coaches and Advisors associated with “Better Business Coach” and the “Business Advice Agency” and recommended to apply to all our partners as best practice, and requires our collective team to:
Understand the client’s needs, objectives, and business situation before providing advice
Consider a range of appropriate options and products, and provide unbiased and impartial advice
Disclose any conflicts of interest and avoid any self-interested or inappropriate advice
Provide ongoing support and advice to members to help them achieve their business goals
Act with care, diligence, and skill when providing advice to members
The best interest duty is a key component of the Better Business Coach regulatory regime, and breaches of the duty can result in penalties or legal action for Coaches and Advisors.

I was at a point where I was working many hours in my business and making a good income, but I wanted to expand the business so that I could work on the business, not in it. I didn’t know how to simultaneously step back to re-evaluate the business and expand it, while still making a good income. Phil from BBC was fantastic, he reviewed my business and knew exactly how to take my business to the next level.
I have been working on a start-up for over 12 months and then come to the realization that I needed some help to get my business to market. I tried looking for a lawyer to write up some legal documents, I was quoted around $7,000 and looked at some coaching organisations, but they wanted $3k to $4k a month in coaching fees, then I found Phil on the net, called him and he made everything seem so easy, and cheap. He gave me so many tips and tricks to save money which has saved me thousands of dollars. I totally recommend the Team at BBC.
"I have a lot to learn and I know this is the right path I got to make.. I'm 100% on board, I love the site and the company... it's Australian Owned and operated and it's in Australia. Trust me, I say I've been looking everywhere for someone to guide me in the right direction" and BBC has been a life saver.
